About the Artist
I would describe my art style as metaphorical surrealism. This is the idea that real life elements are blended with familiar images in a way that communicates a specific message. In my case, I reimagine women as symbolic figures, embodying the characteristics of the objects I've paired them with - a sunflower for its optimism, an aloe vera plant for its healing nature, a butterfly for its transformative process.
Every piece I create stems from this thought process. I think about how I can turn the concepts that already exist in the World into visuals that remind us of our capabilities.
